Panic attack means unpredictable, recurrent attacks of severe anxiety which are not restricted to any particular situation. During a panic attack, the person experiences symptoms like palpitation, chest pain, choking sensations, dizziness, fears of dying, losing control or going mad. Many people misinterpret these symptoms as heart attack. But in reality all these symptoms are due to high levels of anxiety.
